Yesterday I think I complained that my desk was getting messy, well here’s what it looked like last night:

And I also said that I have lots of unfinished books:

The sketch I made on the drive back from the YCL camp was scanned in and coloured:
For comparison the original scan is here.

Anthony came up with the line ‘British courage comes in the form of beer’, this was my revised sketch of him on scout camp:

britishcourage
I sort of messed up with the feet but it doesn’t matter.

And lastly this is a comic which I sketched on paper yesterday but went over this morning and added dialogue:

breakfastable

I still have a few more scanned drawings and dialogue hanging around and I’ll have a crack at colouring some more tomorrow.
On a slight tangent I’m not sure if it’s just me but I have a habit of putting my line drawings and the colouring on different layers. It gives greater flexibility and room for error but probably takes longer. As a result I’ve learnt a few of the keyboard shortcuts on Paint.NET to navigate quicker.

I printed a t-shirt a while back with the slogan ‘workers of the world: have fun!‘ and it had a mockup Asterix promoting the communist cause:

asterix
Unfortunately the Asterix fell off in the end but I still have the slogan on the front.

An ironic fox-hunting image the inspiration for which came from an earlier design I made a while ago (but never posted):

This incredibly quick ambiguous slogan ‘your money or your principles’ imortalized in image form. I was quite lazy and just took the same background as the Asterix image:

I make no apology for the absurdly large file sizes. I refuse to compress my images.

I’ve been wandering around the house cursed by the eternal feeling of having just woken up and my body hasn’t adapted to ‘being awake’ yet. I tried out BZ Flag as reccomended by Fergus and it wasn’t confusing. It seemed to invoke the brilliant tactic-free chaos which ensues in Team Fortress when everything is gone to naught and the only option is to throw youself at the enemy with all you’ve got and hope to catch them by surprise.

In case anyone was wondering, this is what happens when hormones get the best of you for about a week:

beardWhich I sensibly shaved off after a while because it was starting to look ridiculous.

I also had a long-overdue haircut which pushed me from wearing a constant mat of thick bushy unkempt mat of hair to looking a bit like a sheared sheep. With the spare hair I went a bit mad and attempted to replace my old moustache by smearing toothpase over my mouth and squashing clumps of hair into it until it stuck.

To clear a few questions about that picture before they come up: I wasn’t drunk, I know I had toothpase smeared down my face and I know it’s not a very convincing moustache.

Peter’s also in Belfast and he’s got the EEE PC and an O2 dongle to use the internet there. The dongle is hugely oversized when compared to the netbook. It’s even got an inbuilt micro-SD card reader:

As a last signing off, here’s a false colour picture I made of a Spy stabbing a Sniper on arena_nucleus:

It’s early Sunday morning and having done my DT coursework, I thought I’d dump a load of relevant photos of the last couple of weeks:
